Assists with planning, developing, and monitoring of staff training and
providing developmentally appropriate practices for one or more groups of
children 6 weeks to 12 years of age (groups: 6 weeks to 6 months, 6-12 months,
12-24 months, 24-36 months, 3-5 years, 6-12 years and teens)
- Assist in training and curriculum activities for supportive interactions
and positive social development of infants, toddlers, preschools, school-agers,
and special needs children
- Assist in training all child development center staff, family child care
providers, and school age staff in completion of the Air Force Training
Modules, and elective training such as Child Development Associate
Credential preparation
- Assists in reviewing curricula as needed to support children’s needs,
capitalize on special interest, correct problem situations
- Assists with ensuring information on all training and curriculum are
adequately disseminated to appropriate personnel
- Assists with developing, implementing, maintaining and monitoring an
Individual Training Plan for all management staff, family child care
coordinators, and providers
- Assists with tracking progress and reassessing individual growth through
discussions with individual staff members
- Assist in conducting parent education program throughout the program
- Assists with reviewing ongoing training and techniques available through
national organizations such as National Association for the Education of
Young Children, National School Age Care Alliance, and National Association
for Family Child Care for effectiveness in the Air Force Program
Assist with administrative procedures and management in the following areas:
- Resource management - people, money and materials
- Staff scheduling to ensure training can be accomplished
- Documentation of all training conducted
Assist with NAEYC, NSACA, and NAFCC accreditation
