FAMILY CHILD CARE PROGRAM

Fort Dix 
b-dot.gif (913 bytes) Care is provided for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Homes are
limited to caring for up to 6 children under the age of 8.
b-dot.gif (913 bytes) Fully structured support system provides wide variety of lending items for each home, USDA food program training and reimbursement, training on a variety of topics including Family Child Care program modules based on
the CDA criteria. 

YOUTH CENTER - Building 3830

Active Boys and Girls Club Program - Torch Club, Keystone Club,
Power Hour, as well as trips and community activities.

b-dot.gif (913 bytes) Center is part of the New Jersey Boys and Girls Club Alliance
funding from State Juvenile Justice prevention programs. Currently running
teen peer discussions on anti-bias and discrimination.

b-dot.gif (913 bytes) Wide range of youth sports for boys and girls. Soccer, basketball,
baseball, (T-Ball, Coach Pitch and Soft pitch), hockey and golf. Challenger
Baseball for children with special needs.

SCHOOL AGE PROGRAM in Youth Center

b-dot.gif (913 bytes) Model program gives 114 children choices among a wide variety of
program options each day: science, homework, art, theater, outdoor play, and
project work. Staff involved in program development and have opportunity to
expand programming in many directions. Site has a "campground" behind the
building in addition to a large outdoor area. 

b-dot.gif (913 bytes) Staff from other programs come to McGuire to observe the School Age program.
A great opportunity for an intern interested in high quality programs for
children over age 6.
