The Mountain Home AFB Youth and Child Care Program offers a unique opportunity for interns to get hands-on experience in a diversified, dynamic, growing program. We welcome student interns for the energy, enthusiasm, and fresh ideas they contribute to the program. In return, we provide a positive learning environment with personal attention,  opportunities to observe different facets of youth recreation, school-age programming and child development with exposure to a wide variety of activities.

Internship Positions available in:

Child Development Programs - 1 Summer and 1 Fall

School Age Care - 1 Summer and 1 Fall

Youth Programs - 1 Summer

TRAIL Program - 1 Summer

Terms:

4 -16 weeks (Negotiable)

Dynamic learning environment offering hands-on experience

Learn various facets of youth recreation, school age program and child development center

Supervised by staff in NAEYC and NSACA accredited programs

Possible housing and meals at nominal cost. Contact Flight Chief for more information.

Requirements:

Complete your university's internship paperwork

Complete and submit Air Force internship application

Arrange interview with Flight Chief at AFB

Complete background check at AFB
