Please, submit term paper ideas to me on or before March 14, 2007.  Submit a title and short paragraph (up to half page) outlining your term paper idea.  I will respond to your outline after Spring Break.

Term papers are to be presented on May 4, 2007.  The term papers are due via email on May 4 at noon.

1. Linkage of biological indices to physical and chemical water quality constituents

2. Description of a Case Study related to nonpoint source pollution (e.g., Great Lakes, Chesapeake Bay)

3. About the process of developing a TMDL and water quality management plans

4. Determination of effectiveness of selected BMPs

5. Specific transport phenomena of a pollutant type

6. BOD evidence as a result of nonpoint source pollution

7. Sediment transport in streams and their effect on water quality constituents

8. Successes or failures in water quality modeling

9. Nonpoint source pollution from urban areas

10. Transport of bacteria and/or viruses in water systems

11. Use of wetlands to treat storm water runoff or non-point source pollution from other land use areas
