Selected Junior High School and High School youth serve as mentors and student teachers at The Kids Klub program. The school staff help to recruit students who would benefit from the experience of serving as mentors. All students wishing to be selected as Student Teachers must complete an application form, including references, and background check. Applicants are interviewed and trained on working with younger children prior to serving as mentors. When working at the site all Student Teachers wear a specially designed The Kids Klub Student Teacher t-shirt.

At various times throughout the year Student Teachers have their own meetings and training sessions.
