Use the Scholarship Database
The College of Agricultural and Life Sciences has a variety of scholarships to fit your needs. Find the right fit for you by entering your information in the Scholarship Database, enter in your major, year, and GPA. Remember, new students are considered for merit scholarships when they submit their Application for Admission and the Application Supplement for Admission/Scholarships forms by February 15. Current students at UI are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships.

All scholarships in the College of Agricultural & Life Sciences are NOT guaranteed scholarships. Those students that meet the minimum criteria will be submitted to the scholarship committee where the information is evaluated. This committee (either at the department, college, or university level), has the final decision in awarding each scholarship and the amount distributed.

Scholarships for Continuing Students

Continuing students are automatically considered for scholarships each year.  Here are some things you should know.

  • Continuing students do NOT have to submit separate scholarship applications

  • All continuing students are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships for the upcoming  year if they are enrolled in at least 9 UI credits (UG), 6 UI credits (GR), or 10 UI credits (Law) during the previous spring semester

  • File a FAFSA (www.uidaho.edu/finaid/fafsa) by February 15 for priority consideration for need-based scholarships and federal financial aid

  • Most University of Idaho scholarships are awarded early in the spring of each academic year

  • Any scholarship funds that become available are re-awarded throughout the year

  • Scholarship recipients are required to enroll full-time to receive funds each semester unless the donor of the funds has indicated that part-time students are eligible.  Full-time is defined as 12 credits (UG), 9 credits (GR), and 10 credits (Law)

  • Scholarship awarding is competitive - grades are important!
