Youth are now empowered to make a difference by developing and implementing and environmental restoration or waste management action plan.

Youth brainstrom action ideas and select one action to take. The following forms aide the youth in planning, implelmenting and evaluating their action.

ACTION PROJECT IDEAS

Cleaning up a river or stream.
Design and paint litter barrels for public areas.
Pick up litter in your community. Sort and recycle what you can.
Voluteer at a community household hazardous waste collection program.
Teach about waste reduction at daycare centers.
Make cloth bags for shopping and lunch bags.
Develop and promote a wise energy use plan for homes.
Volunteer your time at a clothing exchange.
Construct a float for a community parade using reused materials.
Establish a household battery collection program.
Collect recycables for senior citizens.
Help develop a community yard waste compost site.
Organize a Christmas tree recycling program.
