EDSP490—Infant Toddler Internship

Infant toddler practicum is designed to give students an experience working with infants and toddlers with disabilities prior to student teaching.

Infant toddler practicum, a 7 credit field placement required of all early childhood development and education majors, provides an opportunity to practice skills learned in special education methods courses. Infant toddler practicum is taken only in summer.

Who’s eligible for infant toddler practicum?

Eligible students are those who: (1) have completed the following courses: EDSP 350, EDSP 351, EDSP460, and EDSP 461, (2) have admitted into the teaching education program, and (3) are in good standing.

 

Application for Infant toddler practicum:

To obtain an application for Infant Toddler Practicum, you must attend an informational meeting. (Informational meetings to apply for the following summer are held in December)

Informational Meeting: 5:00pm on December 3rd at Niccolls Building 202

 

 

Summer of 2010

Time: May 17 to August 20

Location: one week on campus and six-eight weeks in the field
